| The buyer is not usually present at time of delivery of an offer. The
buyers agent presents the offer to the sellers agent and/or to the agent and
seller together. Your offer should
be presented to the seller immediately. Time is of the
essence. Anything more than forty-eight hours is usually considered untimely.
A seller will accept or counter offer
your proposal. If it is accepted, congratulations, you have bought a house subject to any inspections and other contingencies. |
It is critical agent and buyer be available to each other at all times. Be prepared for counter offers and be prepared to
respond quickly and in writing. Time is of the essence.
The seller, not the agent, must evaluate
the merits of an offer, as it should be. |
